Trademark Bandung Clothing Expo 2011

Sup people!!

Last Friday (11/4/11) Me and My Friends went to TRADEMARK 2011 in Paris Van Java one of the biggest shopping center in Bandung. The same as—once held— Bandung Clothing Expo 2010 or the well known Kickfest 2010/2011. Those events are the clothing expo in the flower city, in which, this may indicates that Bandung produces many apparel products and accessories. Furthermore, Bandung nowadays is famous for its fashion all across Indonesia. Those events are annually held and mostly done outdoors. But—unlike any other, The Trademark 2011 was held indoor as the first biggest clothing expo/ market in town.

Since the first launching in 10-13 February 2011, this event already gained much attention and become well acknowledged by the wide range of youth people in Indonesia. Not to mention its legal aspects, Trademark 2011 was opened with the speech from the vice governor of West Java, Mr. Dede Yusuf. He said that he was pleased with the event because it’s open the way for youth people to develop creativity.

Trademark concept is a warehouse. No wonder when we began to enter the area of trademark, we were like being in a warehouse with a part of  properties that use woods, such as tables and chairs. Eventhough the concept is a warehouse, all areas in Trademark were neatly decor after all. There were about 100 booths took part in Trademark 2011, 80% of the products is made authentically in Bandung. In addition to the brand, except from Bandung, there were also brand from Jakarta and Jogjakarta enlivened Trademark 2011. Brands that fills booth at the Trademark 2011 was a local brand with a unique diversity. Most booth participated in the Trademark 2011 in the form of clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and food. In addition, there are several booth with unique items, such as wooden craft, toys, Lomo Camera, Polaroid cameras, and lights and many other products.

I only attended the second Trademark this year, which was held on the  4-6 November 2011. But it was all really worth it. The price? Well yeah the price never fool the quality (If u know what I’m sayin). Yet, it still affordable for students. hehehe…

On the expo, I came with my friends Windy, Citra, Fanny and her hubby Arief and also the addorable baby Kiana. Me and Windy spotted every single stall and booth while the others busy took step and grab every shirt they found *a lil bit exaggerating*

So, below are the pictures of Windy who were looking for one fancy chick head band in one booth in Trademark 2011

Discussion about which be best suited Film / Digital [noted]

Sheacote : You can see lots of work done with film on my site, but lots of you love digital clean images, are there any of you who prefer my film images?

Sheacote : Can you even tell? so which aesthetic do you prefer... 'Film or Digital'?

Me : Prefer film to digital... Analogue for ability and flexibility

Sheacote : I TOTALLY AGREE. Working with film, you have the flexibility of editing with light, fixing underexposed images are a breeze!

Sheacote : Digital.. Well you are just crunching numbers, and I am a photographer not an accountant!

Me : And crunching numbers is just what robot and machine do! ... Art never comes from those things!!
